Welcome to a space of gentle support and nurturing care. As you navigate this transformative journey, I am here to help you find balance, confidence, and peace — every step of the way.

Your Doula

Hello and welcome, my name is Alayah Jackson. I am a certified doula through DONA, and an approved provider with Carrot Fertility which may allow eligible families to use their benefits toward postpartum care.

I am honored to support families as they navigate the rewarding yet challenging journey of early parenthood. My passion for this work began when my older sister had her first child. As she faced the transition into motherhood, she turned to me for support. It was in those early days of helping her care for her baby that I also helped her discover new strengths in herself. This experience ignited my desire to assist other families on their own postpartum journeys.

I graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an Honors degree in Sociology, where I also studied Conflict Management and Health & Society. My academic background has equipped me with valuable tools to understand family dynamics, communicate effectively, and approach each unique situation with empathy and care. I am also currently continuing my education to become a certified newborn care specialist (NCS) through the Newborn Care Training Academy.

Driven by my personal experience and education, I pursued certification as a postpartum doula through DONA International. Since then, I have had the privilege of supporting many families through their transitions, offering guidance, comfort, and emotional support during a time that can feel both joyful and overwhelming.

As your postpartum doula, my goal is to help you feel confident in your new role as a parent and to provide the support you need as you recover and adjust. I offer practical assistance with newborn care, emotional reassurance, and a listening ear, all while honoring your unique journey. It’s my mission to empower you, support your well-being, and help you thrive during this special time.

Thank you for considering me to be a part of your postpartum experience—I look forward to working with you and your family!

  • Ask me about my community rate!

Postpartum care is not a luxury— it is an essential form of support during a major life transition. In many cultures, the first 40 days are recognized as a sacred time of healing, bonding and adjustment. The community gathers to support parents, creating a foundation of long-term well-being for both parent and baby.

Everyone deserves access to compassionate, skilled care during the postpartum period, regardless of income or circumstance.

The equity rate is a reduced fee option offered to families who benefit from doula support but may face financial barriers due to systemic inequities, unexpected hardship, or limited resources.

Equity-rate spots are limited and balanced by families who are able to pay the full rate. Requesting an equity rate is welcomed and respected. No detailed explanation or documentation is required— only a brief, honest conversation about need.

Families receiving an equity rate receive the same level of attentive, professional, and compassionate care as all other clients. The quality, scope, and commitment to support never change.

If cost is a barrier and you feel aligned with my approach, I encourage you to reach out to inquire about current equity availability.
